Flying Adventures!

One of the most fun things you can participate in is one of our members tours. Every year our members organize a number of aviation tours on the basis of shared costs. Cost-sharing makes it possible to accomplish these trips for a relatively modest amount of money. A trip is always lead by one of our more experienced members and can take from a couple of days up to 2 weeks. We equally share the flying time between our members, but if you just want to sit back and enjoy the view you are very welcome.

Here is a sampling of the trips we have organized:

We visit some of the airfields that the RAF used as a basis for the fight against the Luftwaffe in the summer of 1940. We fly to Manston, Biggin Hill and Duxford. We fly over the white cliffs of Dover and experience the British skies and the typical UK countryside as it must have looked to those pilots sitting in their Hurricanes and Spitfires. We visit the Duxford air museum with it’s collection of fighter planes including the Spitfire, Hurricane and the Messerschmit Bf 109. We stay in country-side bed and breakfasts and enjoy the English hospitality including the famous airman’s breakfast with fried eggs, toast, sausages and porridge.
