Welcome!

Welcome to the homepage of the Aviator Group Rotterdam.

Flying in The Netherlands and Europe can be breathtaking, with it’s beautiful scenery and fast changing landscape. With many of Europe’s famous historical capitals, London, Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Prague within one, two or three flight hours apart from each other (in our airplanes), it’s a very practical way of travelling in Europe and can be an extremely pleasant and rewarding experience, as many US trained pilots flying in Europe have found.

The AGR is a not-for-profit organisation run by a small group of aviation enthusiasts. We operate two US-registered aircraft from Rotterdam’s Zestienhoven airport in the Netherlands. Our fleet consists of a Piper Warrior and a Piper Arrow. Both airplanes are maintained to high standards and are VFR and IFR equipped. To help us reduce the operating expenses we make the airplanes available to visiting pilots. You will find that the prices we charge are on par with the other clubs on the field.
The availability of the planes is generally very good and they are available for both short flights and multi-day trips. The Netherlands is ideally suited as a starting point to explore Europe by air.

Flying in Europe is quite different from flying in the USA. Airspace is structured differently and there a number of different regulations. AGR has FAA licensed instructors that can help you find your way in the European skies before you set out on your own or join one of our member tours. We can also provide you with maps, a current Jeppesen airfield manual and other flight information you will need. We have a liferaft and life jackets for flights over the North Sea. You can also use one of our Garmin handheld GPS’s with an up to date European database.

We invite you to come and fly with us!
